Transformasi Desa Cerdas menuju Desa Tangguh: Peran Jaringan Inovasi Digital dalam Pembangunan Pedesaan Berkelanjutan

Abstract

Digital transformation has reshaped the paradigm of rural development from an infrastructure-centered approach to one driven by innovation and digital collaboration. The smart village concept has emerged as a strategic framework for improving public service efficiency, economic productivity, and sustainable rural development. However, existing studies indicate that the success of rural digital transformation depends not only on technological availability but also on the capacity to establish digital innovation networks connecting village governments, local communities, businesses, academic institutions, and technology providers. This article examines the role of digital innovation networks in facilitating the transformation of smart villages into resilient villages that support sustainable rural development. The study employs a qualitative descriptive literature review approach by analyzing international scholarly works on smart villages, digital villages, digital agriculture, and sustainability. The findings reveal that digital innovation networks serve as a key mechanism for accelerating technology diffusion, strengthening institutional capacity, enhancing community participation, and reducing the rural digital divide. The analysis further demonstrates that the integration of digital technologies, collaborative governance, and local innovation ecosystems contributes significantly to improving rural economic, social, and environmental resilience. This article argues that resilient village development requires a shift from a technology-oriented perspective toward the strengthening of digital innovation networks as the fundamental infrastructure for sustainable rural development in the digital era.
