Abstract

This study aims to analyze students’ scientific literacy and religious attitudes in science learning integrated with qauniyah verses at SMPIT Abu Hurairah Lombok Barat. The study was motivated by the low level of Indonesian students’ scientific literacy based on the PISA 2018 results and the limited implementation of systematic Islamic value integration in science learning. This research employed a mixed methods approach with a sequential explanatory design. Data were collected through scientific literacy tests, religious attitude questionnaires, classroom observations, and documentation involving eighth-grade students. Data analysis was conducted quantitatively through descriptive statistics and strengthened qualitatively through interpretation of the integrated science learning process. The findings indicate that the integration of qauniyah verses in science learning contributes to improving students’ scientific literacy, particularly in explaining scientific phenomena, interpreting data, and applying contextual scientific concepts. Furthermore, the learning process strengthened students’ religious attitudes by enhancing tauhid awareness, gratitude, and spiritual reflection on natural phenomena. This study argues that the integration of Islamic values into science learning can serve as a contextual learning model that supports the development of 21st-century competencies while simultaneously fostering students’ religious character in integrated Islamic schools.
