This study analyzes a sustainable halal tourism destination development model in West Lombok Regency by emphasizing economic, social, cultural, institutional, and environmental dimensions. The preliminary research indicates that West Lombok has significant potential as a destination based on beaches, culture, and creative economy; however, its development is still constrained by limited supporting infrastructure, uneven standardization of halal services, and suboptimal cross-sector policy integration. This study employs a socio-legal research approach with qualitative methods through interviews, field observations, and documentation of local regulations and policies. The analysis shows that a collaborative model based on sustainable halal tourism is the most relevant approach because it integrates local government, business actors, local communities, academics, and tourism communities within a single destination governance ecosystem. These findings suggest that halal tourism in West Lombok should be understood not merely as a religious agenda, but as a destination development strategy oriented toward economic, social, cultural, and environmental sustainability.
