The development of digital technology has changed the patterns of service, management, and communication of Islamic social institutions in Indonesia, particularly in the sectors of zakat, waqf, mosques, and Islamic financial institutions. Changes in the behavior of Muslim communities that increasingly depend on digital platforms have encouraged Islamic social institutions to undertake institutional adaptation in order to remain relevant, transparent, and effective in carrying out their socio-religious functions. This study aims to analyze the forms of adaptation of Islamic social institutions in facing the challenges of digital technology disruption in Indonesia. This study employed a qualitative method with a library research design through normative and sociological approaches to various scientific literatures, regulations, and previous research findings. The results show that digitalization has encouraged the transformation of zakat, waqf, mosque, and Islamic financial service governance through the use of digital applications, Islamic fintech, social media, and electronic payment systems. The study also found that the success of digital transformation is strongly influenced by organizational readiness, the quality of human resources, digital work culture, regulations, and the ability of institutions to maintain sharia principles in technology management. This study concludes that the adaptation of Islamic social institutions to digital technology disruption is not only related to technological modernization, but also involves changes in governance, social legitimacy, and the strengthening of digital-based religious services.
