This study aimed to analyze the effect of fermented feed on body weight gain in beef cattle and to evaluate its effectiveness in improving livestock productivity. Feed is a crucial factor in the success of livestock farming; however, the high cost of conventional feed and the low quality of local feed resources remain major constraints. Fermented feed was selected as an alternative strategy to improve nutrient content, digestibility, and feed intake in cattle. The study employed an experimental method involving two treatment groups, namely a control group receiving conventional feed and a treatment group receiving fermented feed. The sample consisted of 20 beef cattle divided equally into two groups. The rearing period lasted for 90 days, during which observations were conducted on feed consumption, animal health, and body weight gain. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the T-test. The results demonstrated that fermented feed had a positive and significant effect on body weight gain in beef cattle. The treatment group exhibited a higher average increase in body weight compared to the control group. In addition, fermented feed was proven to enhance appetite, improve nutrient utilization efficiency, and support better animal health conditions. Therefore, fermented feed has strong potential as an effective and economical alternative feed source to improve beef cattle productivity while reducing feed costs and optimizing the utilization of local feed materials.
